Tog & Pini’s delightful pieces feature furry creatures and feathered friends, all delicately hand painted by Melbourne-based artist Clare Dunstan. We caught up with Clare to get a glimpse behind the scenes of Tog & Pini:

Hi Clare, tell us a bit about yourself and Tog & Pini.

I work from my lovely little home studio in Research with my family, chooks, dogs, guinea-pigs and rabbit! I mostly paint in watercolours and have just this month completed illustrating a picture book!

What are you passionate about?

My business is an extension of everything that I love; animals, knick-knacks, picture books, antiques, and of course my family and my faith in Jesus.

What does ethical consumerism mean to you?

It means being thoughtful about what you buy. Considering where and how it was made, how you use it, and then how you recycle it when it’s use for you is over. I love to think of how many ‘lives' something can have.

Describe your perfect day!

Most likely a day at home with my family, enjoying our little farmyard of pets, eating together, playing games and ‘making something’.
