Lillibella
Lillibella’s gorgeous fashion pieces are all made from high quality, natural fibres that are long-lasting and friendly to the environment. We caught up with Lillibella’s founder and owner Karen to hear more about her brand and story.
Hi Karen! Tell us a bit about Lillibella:
Melbourne label Lillibella was founded in 2017 and quickly extended from girls and women’s wear to also include activewear focusing on an entirely natural fabric range including Bamboo, Hemp, Organic Cotton and Linen.
Lillibella works towards offering an accessible range that covers all your clothing designs needs in options that are organic, sustainable and ethically made. We strive to keep our label plastic free, low to no waste, vegan and Australian made.
In 2021 Lilli Collective was opened in Croydon to give face-to-face service to customers and allow us to offer a customised garment service, remodelling designs to cater for extra height, shorten, narrower etc. It has been greatly appreciated by those who have found it near impossible to find garments the right length or shape to suit their body type.
What are you passionate about?
I am most passionate about seeing a global shift towards natural based products that are reusable, renewable or can be upcycled or recycled. I would love to see a mass mindset or purchasing products that have been manufactured ethically and respectfully.
What does ethical consumerism mean to you?
Ethical consumerism should include accountability for the materials used including transparency of the processes. The products should be made in an ethical manner for all involved which includes a fair pay rate as well as a comfortable and safe work environment preferably made in Australia.
Describe your perfect day!
My perfect day would be one where one of our beautiful Lillibella customers walks into our Croydon store wearing one of our garments and telling us how much they love wearing it.
